About Shawnigan Lake
Shawnigan School was founded in 1916 by Christopher Windley Lansdale. This independent boarding school welcomes boys and girls in grades eight to twelve. It gives them a leading personality by offering a modern, diverse and creative program. School dormitory
The school has nine full-time dormitories, 5 for boys and 4 for girls. Living in the presence of 50 to 60 students of the same age from different nationalities enables students to learn patience and mutual understanding.

Three meals are distributed among the students at certain hours in the Marion dining hall. Students are served from 7 a.m. Monday to Friday, 1 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., 11:50 p.m., and 5 p.m.

The health center of this school is managed by medical staff with high skill standards. The center provides services to students, including prescribing medication and health advice, information on diet and healthy living, assessing student health and medical services, and, if necessary, referrals to doctors, dentists, and other specialists.

Shawnigan has a museum that traces the school's history from a three-story, 10-story wooden building to a large 150-acre boarding school.
